These terms cover your use of Vexor, a Shopify app operated by Pretan Technologies ("we", "us"). Installing the app means you accept them. If you are installing on behalf of a business, you confirm you may agree on its behalf.
What Vexor does
Vexor scores storefront traffic to identify bots and AI agents, checks new orders against abuse rules you configure, links buyers who share a network or device, and assembles evidence for chargebacks. It reports and, if you choose, challenges or blocks suspicious storefront visitors.
What Vexor does not do
This matters more than the feature list, so it is stated plainly:
- Vexor never cancels, refunds or holds an order by itself. It tags and flags; every decision about an order stays with you.
- Vexor does not guarantee that it will catch every bot, every abusive order or every fraudulent chargeback. Detection is based on signals and thresholds, and both false positives and missed cases will happen.
- Vexor does not guarantee you will win chargebacks. The evidence pack organises information you already hold; card networks decide the outcome.
- Vexor is not a payment processor, insurer or legal adviser.
You are responsible for the settings you choose. Blocking mode can, by design, stop some real shoppers from buying. Start in Monitor mode and review what Vexor flags before you let it act.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your Shopify account and staff access secure.
- Tell your shoppers what you collect, as your own privacy policy and local law require. Vexor runs on your storefront under your control.
- Use Vexor only on stores you are authorised to administer.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, resell or copy the service, and do not use it to build a competing product.
Plans and payment
Vexor has a free plan and paid plans. All charges go through Shopify's billing system and appear on your Shopify invoice; we never take card details directly. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial, bill every 30 days, and can be changed or cancelled at any time from the Plans page in the app.
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of visitor sessions. Once you pass it, new visitors are no longer scored until the next billing month or an upgrade — the app keeps working, but new traffic is not analysed.
Cancelling stops future charges. Because Shopify bills in advance for the period, part-period refunds are at our discretion; write to us and we will look at it.
Availability
We aim to keep Vexor running continuously but do not promise a specific uptime. We may take the service down for maintenance, and we will avoid peak trading periods where we can. If Vexor is unreachable, your storefront keeps working normally — visitors are simply not scored.
Data
Our handling of data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. You remain the controller of your shoppers' data and we process it on your behalf.
Ending the agreement
Uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin. We delete your store's data 48 hours after uninstall, when Shopify sends the redaction request. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or whose charges go unpaid — with notice wherever possible.
Liability
Vexor is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, blocked legitimate orders, chargebacks lost, or any indirect loss. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us for Vexor in that period.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud or anything else that cannot legally be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to the address on your Shopify account at least 14 days before taking effect. Continuing to use Vexor after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and the courts of Zimbabwe have jurisdiction. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
